Cumberland County, Pennsylvania Inmate Search

An inmate search is a tool that allows users to access information about individuals incarcerated at detention facilities. It is a digital directory that lists people who were arrested and are awaiting trial for offenses or are serving short-term sentences. In Cumberland County, the Cumberland County Department of Corrections (CCDOC) maintains the county’s detention facilities, and its Inmate Listing webpage details individuals serving local prison sentences. Likewise, the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (DOC) Inmate Locator and the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Inmate Locator are inmate search tools for accessing information about individuals serving sentences in Pennsylvania state prisons and federal facilities.

The Cumberland County Prison is the primary detention facility in Cumberland County, and the CCDOC maintains a single jail roster. Nonetheless, local police departments such as the Carlisle Police Department and the Lower Allen Township Police Department maintain records of individuals they hold in temporary custody.

Typically, an inmate search provides access to public-facing information about inmates. This includes:

  • Booking details
  • Legal charges
  • Court and bond information
  • Custody status
  • Release information.
